Danny Bryant

Alderman Danny Bryant was born in and has been a lifelong resident of Lincoln County.  After graduating from Flintville High School, Alderman Bryant entered the United States Army and served overseas in both France and Germany.

Married to the former Patricia Ward, they have three children and six grandchildren, all of whom live and work here in Fayetteville and Lincoln County.

Alderman Bryant began his career with the City of Fayetteville after going to work for the city owned Fayetteville Natural Gas Department in 1967.  After working in several positions including General Manager, he retired in June of 2007 with almost forty years of service with the city, of which the last five years were with the Fayetteville Public Utilities.

A few of the awards received at his retirement was "Life Time Membership with The Middle Tennessee Gas Distributors Association," "The Distinguished Service Award" from the Tennessee Gas Association, "The J. Hardie Johnson Jr. Service Award" from The American Public Gas Association for a record of excellence and devotion to the Natural Gas Industry.

In 2008 Alderman Bryant was elected to his first term as Alderman and was re-elected in 2012 and 2016.  Since serving as Alderman, he has served on the City School Board, the City Finance Committee, the City Police and Fire Committee, the Public Works Committee, the City Beer Board and the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Public Library Board, where he completed the requirements of the Tennessee Trustee Certification Program and has been officially designated as a Certified Public Library Trustee in the State of Tennessee.

Alderman Bryant has compete various training session and classes pertaining to city government and has a combined employee/elected time of service to the City of Fayetteville of 50 years.
