Utility Committee

The purpose of this committee is to review plats of subdivisions and large-scale developments prior to submittal to the Fayetteville Regional Planning Commission. This committee is primarily concerned with the location of each proposed utility in relation to all other utilities, both proposed and existing. Also, the committee is to aid the developer as well as the Planning Commission by offering opinions based upon expertise in the field of utilities.


Regularly scheduled meetings shall be held on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Wednesday of each month, at 1:00 p.m., in the auditorium of the Municipal Building. 


Material to be reviewed by this committee must be submitted electronically to the proper office a minimum of seven (7) working days prior to the meeting. Committee member comments and concerns will be sent to the Planning and Codes official in a timely manner to facilitate corrections prior to the Utility Committee meeting. Once the project is approved by the Utility Committee, the project can be submitted to the Fayetteville Regional Planning Commission for approval.
