The GIS department accomplishes these goals by using the ArcGIS software suite, created by the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). ESRI is one most reputable geospatial companies in the United States, with ArcGIS as one of the most widely used GIS software tools that is utilized by the state and federal governments for geospatial analysis and mapping. The ArcGIS suite offers specifically tailored solutions to municipalities and local governments, providing the best tools for new and existing map development. .
GIS as a service provides citizens with accurate data for community development, giving industries and organizations the tools they need to expand and grow in our city. As more data is collected and analyzed, new solutions for urban development and strategic growth can be implemented as the City of Fayetteville works to improve our community. By providing accurate real-time data, we can expect to see faster development cycles and more public services improve our community.
