TDOT Surface Transportation Program
William D. Jones Boulevard Paving Project
In May of 2017, the Tennessee Department of Transportation awarded the City of Fayetteville funds from the TDOT Surface Transportation Program. The $514,350.00 project is classified as the “William D. Jones from SR-273 (W. Washington Street) to William Battle Boulevard” resurfacing project.
The primary feature of the project will be the repaving of William D. Jones Boulevard from W. Washington Street to William Battle Boulevard. In addition to the new pavement and lane striping, designs call for improvements to site distance and the construction of a new storm water drainage collection system that include new concrete curbs and gutters with curb ramps where necessary.
The current status of the project is pending receipt of the executed State of Tennessee contract and a Notice to Proceed to “Preliminary Engineering Phase.” (updated 06/07/17)
